Maersk Container Industry’s Sekstant Adopts Copeland’s REFCON 6 BLE Monitoring System

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration that will expand reefer container data interoperability for vessel operators. Copeland will be partnering with Maersk Container Industry (MCI), a leading reefer container manufacturing company, to integrate our REFCON 6 BLE reefer monitoring system with MCI’s Star Cool reefer containers fitted with Sekstant gateways. This collaboration helps aggregate multiple internet of things (IoT) provider datasets to improve cold chain visibility in the marine shipping industry.

Managing several IoT service providers and data sources creates significant onboard challenges for vessel operators, who need to identify temperature fluctuations and address refrigeration equipment malfunctions quickly. Copeland and MCI are committed to increasing the efficiency and reliability of global refrigerated cargo transportation by integrating these diverse sources of reefer container monitoring data.
