*Emerson’s Climate Technologies business is now a new standalone company: Copeland. Building on more than a century of HVACR innovation and industry leadership, Copeland will continue to offer the same products you’ve grown to trust while renewing our commitment and investment in the development of next-generation technologies.

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration that will expand reefer container data interoperability for vessel operators. Copeland will be partnering with Maersk Container Industry (MCI), a leading reefer container manufacturing company, to integrate our REFCON 6 BLE reefer monitoring system with MCI’s Star Cool reefer containers fitted with Sekstant gateways. This collaboration helps aggregate multiple internet of things (IoT) provider datasets to improve cold chain visibility in the marine shipping industry.

Managing several IoT service providers and data sources creates significant onboard challenges for vessel operators, who need to identify temperature fluctuations and address refrigeration equipment malfunctions quickly. Copeland and MCI are committed to increasing the efficiency and reliability of global refrigerated cargo transportation by integrating these diverse sources of reefer container monitoring data.

“The integration of Copeland’s REFCON 6 BLE monitoring system with our Sekstant-enabled Star Cool reefer containers underscores our dedication to excellence in cargo handling and customer satisfaction,” said Anders Gamborg Holm, director, global sales & service of MCI. “Copeland’s advanced onboard container monitoring technology communicating via Sekstant gateways will help minimize potential downtime and improve refrigerated cargo protection throughout the oceanic voyage.”

We’re excited to be working with MCI to enable Sekstant-fitted Star Cool containers to work with REFCON 6 BLE telemetry. They share our dedication to setting new standards for data interoperability, ensuring the integrity and safety of refrigerated cargo during transit.
